NFE, NFC & TDN calculation formula

1.      Nitrogen free extract (NFE)

            Nitrogen free extract is calculated by subtracting the sum percentage of crude protein, crude fiber, ether extract and total ash from 100.

NFE (%) =100 – (CP % + CF % + EE % + Total ash %)

2.      Total Digestible Nutrients (TDN)

TDN (%) = (% Digestible Protein + % Digestible Carbohydrate) + (% Digestible Fat X 2.25)

3.      NFC = 100 – ( Moisture) – (Ash) –(Crude Protein) – (Crude Fat) –(NDF)
